"Orange, Orange...Banana?" Daily Photos - January 31, 2012 Waiting... Eating a banana... And unknowingly doing so in fabulous color matching style... I spotted this person while I was out for a quick photo walk on my lunch break yesterday. The touches of orange in her jacket and hat against the rusty orange wall jumped out at me. I was only able to get off this one shot before she started walking away.

"Bell Ringer" Daily Photos - December 2, 2011 Well, this is a MAJOR departure from my typical (and safe) flower and landscape shots! "Bell Ringer" is my first posting in a new style / genre of photography (street scenes / street photography) that I've been interested in trying my hand at for quite some time. I've flirted with it a few times before, getting some broader city shots that were more architectural in nature, but to be honest, I just haven't had guts to get out there and get close to people. There is definitely something very exciting about the edginess and grit of the street! I have been studying some work by a photographer I learned of just recently. His name is Thomas Leuthard and his website is 85mm Street Photography. Anyone interested in street photography should definitely check him out!
